種碳文摘／Carbon Farming Digest 第7期・秋分｜節氣專文


在種碳計畫裡，土壤有機碳的檢測數據，是整個信任鏈條最基礎的一環——沒有可信的檢測，就沒有可信的碳匯，更沒有可信的ESG證據鏈。長期協助我們進行這項關鍵檢測工作的，是田祖永續農業公司的洪健哲博士。這一期，我們必須帶著沉重的心情，記下一段關於他的故事。

去年9月底，洪健哲博士參與了馬太鞍溪的救災行動。原本只是一次腳部受傷，卻在後續轉為蜂窩性組織炎，必須住院治療。就在住院檢查的過程中，醫療團隊意外發現他罹患了白血病。經過長達八個月的積極治療，洪博士仍不幸於今年5月25日辭世，得年僅44歲。對認識他的人而言，這是一段來得太突然、也太年輕的告別，痛失一位在土壤科學領域用心投入的英才。

洪博士驟逝之後，田祖永續農業公司並沒有讓他建立起來的檢測工作就此中斷。公司主動將原本的檢測設備與儀器，轉移至高雄醫學大學產學發展中心，並在此設立了一家新公司——「健哲有限公司」。這個名字，本身就是對洪博士最直接的紀念，也代表著一份承諾：他未完成的志業，將由更多人接續下去。

健哲公司以國際標準ISO 17025:2017作為標竿，定位為獨立於天地和氣之外的第三方實驗室，接受天地和氣公司委託，進行土壤有機碳的檢測工作。目前健哲公司僅專注於土壤有機碳這一項檢測服務，但未來規劃將逐步拓展至更廣泛的農業與健康生命科學檢測研究領域，讓這個以紀念洪博士為初衷而生的實驗室，能夠承擔起更完整的科學使命。

對整個種碳計畫來說，健哲公司的成立，意義遠不止於「找到替代方案」而已。獨立於天地和氣之外的第三方實驗室角色，本身就是黃金標準認證體系中，土壤有機碳數據能否取信於國際評鑑機構、企業ESG夥伴，乃至最終消費者的關鍵一環。換句話說，健哲公司延續的不只是儀器與空間，更是洪博士生前一絲不苟建立起來的檢測品質與公正性——這正是整個種碳計畫得以站穩腳步、持續往前走的科學基礎。

我們期待未來能與健哲公司一起，以公正、專業的態度，持續執行每一份委託檢測，讓洪健哲博士對土壤科學的堅持，化為這個計畫得以延續下去的力量，也讓他的名字，透過每一次可信的檢測數據，繼續留在這片他曾經用心守護過的土地上。

In the carbon farming program, soil organic carbon testing data is the most fundamental link in the entire chain of trust — without credible testing, there is no credible carbon sequestration, and no credible ESG evidence chain. The person who long led this critical testing work for us was Dr. Hung Chien-che of Tianzu Sustainable Agriculture. This issue, we share his story with a heavy heart.

In late September last year, Dr. Hung took part in disaster relief along the Mataian River. What began as a foot injury developed into cellulitis requiring hospitalization, and during those examinations doctors unexpectedly discovered he had leukemia. After eight months of intensive treatment, he passed away on May 25 this year, at just 44 years old — a farewell that came far too suddenly, and far too young, taking with it a talent deeply devoted to soil science.

Following his death, Tianzu Sustainable Agriculture did not let the testing work he built come to a halt. The company itself relocated its testing equipment and instruments to Kaohsiung Medical University's Office of Industry-Academia Cooperation, establishing a new company there: Chien-Che Co., Ltd. — a name that is itself a direct tribute to Dr. Hung, and a promise that his unfinished mission would be carried forward by others.

Benchmarked against the international ISO 17025:2017 standard, Chien-Che is positioned as an independent third-party laboratory, separate from Tian Di He Qi, conducting soil organic carbon testing on commission. It currently focuses solely on this one testing service, with plans to expand into broader agricultural and health-related life science testing and research, so that a laboratory born to honor Dr. Hung can eventually carry a fuller scientific mission.
